.deb package for Switcher applet

I made a Debian/Ubuntu package for Switcher. Please try it out and tell me if it works: switcher_0.1_all.deb

It works perfectly on my Ubuntu 9.10 64 bit machine. Didn't even have to restart gnome-panel. However, I was wondering if it could be made transparent. It is now the only part of my panel that is not, and aesthetics are always important for me.

    Thanks,

    Aaron: Thanks.

I'm going to look into what widget to use inside the panel, but I have a feeling that the gtk.HandleBox() will look odd anyway and I need it so that you have somewhere to right-click and get the standard panel applet menu (remove from panel, move, lock to panel). I'll probably also have to write something custom to highlight the current desktop and app, because real buttons will look odd on a transparent background.

As it stands it looks like it is a lot of work to get applets to look good on a transparent background and it gets limiting pretty quickly, but if it isn't too much work I'll try and change it (or at least "support" transparent panels in some way).

(By the way, I just set my panel to transparent and my applet isn't the only thing that looks opaque in my setup. I have always found transparent panels rather buggy...)
